We are looking for a part-time property manager to assist us with the management of Moksha Spiritual Center. In return for 20 hours of work per week, you will be provided with accommodation, all utilities paid and possibly some food. A commitment of 6-12 months is required. Some experience in customer service or property maintenance or life in ashrams/spiritual centers would be nice to have.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to live in a peaceful/stress free environment, deepen their spiritual practice and be part of a high conscious community. The center is located just one hour from LA, one can always go into the city for other jobs or for more community.

Job Description

Required experience/skills:

  1. Some experience in customer service or property maintenance or life in ashrams/spiritual centers would be nice to have.
  2. Fluent in the use of: social media, email, MS Office software such as Word and Excel, Google Docs.
  3. Interest in health, wellness and spiritual growth
  4. Sociable personality, patient with a service attitude.
  5. Flexible to take up any work in the best interest of the center

 

Responsibilities

  1. Daily tasks     
  1. Customer support: Answering questions from potential customers who would rent the place, by email and phone.
  2. Marketing: Social media posts of the center. Connecting with well-known yoga teachers who do retreats and suggesting them to rent Moksha Spiritual Center.
  3. Watering plants if required
  4. Making sure all the basic necessities are available: Water, Heating, Electricity, Internet. This is more a quick daily check.
  1. Weekly tasks
  1. Upkeep of the property: Light cleaning of the property, sweeping and vacuuming the place when there are no events. After every event, we will get a maid to do a thorough cleaning of the property.
  2. Emptying trash into the trash cans on the street
  1. Event Weekends     
  1. Stocking the center with necessary supplies: Bathrooms, Sleeping rooms, Kitchen, Workshop spaces.
  2. Linen should be cleaned after an event: Bedsheets, pillow cases
  3. Make sure Audio/Visual equipment is working
  4. Make sure the heaters, humidifiers and air purifiers in each room are working
  5. Be available for any support required until the completion of an event
  1. Adhoc tasks
  1. Servicing guests when the property is rented for short terms stays – Airbnb, etc.
